In aid to abandoned children of Haiti

ONZ is a company started by eleven students at Round Rock high school in Round Rock, Texas. ONZ means eleven in Haitian Creole, the native language of Haiti. It stands for the eleven members of our business and how we are trying to make a difference in Haiti.

As high school students, we are trying to learn how to be young entrepreneurs and at the same time understand the significance of sending out a helping hand to the less privileged. ONZ is a clothing line.We specialize in making shirts, our shirts have unique designs and an outstanding t-shirt texture. We were assisted by a very talented student in our next door graphic design class to create these designs and our entrepreneurship teacher supervised all other aspects of the business. For every shirt we sell, ten percent of our profits will be donated to Hope Rising Foundation. Hope Rising is an organization based in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

All donations to Hope rising go towards community projects in Haiti such as building facilities that will lead to homes to care for the orphaned and abandoned children of Haiti and countless other projects to make the community better. After the catastrophic earthquake of 2010  and the disaster caused by Hurricane Matthew in 2016, Haiti has not fully recovered due to issues with governing and other aspects. Even though attempts to help have been made by various world organizations, Haiti still has a long way to go until they can realize full recovery and good standards of living.  The reason we chose to support Haiti is because we saw the relief and support shown towards the Hurricane victims in Houston and Florida and we felt that Haiti was not being shown the same support for their natural disasters.
